The Duxbury Land Trust's Introduction to two, free Fly-Fishing Workshops is being slightly changed due to the recent flooding event. These classes are low-pressure introductions appropriate for adults and for children ages 10 and older, accompanied by a parent. Both classes will now be held on the Ridley Brook, depending on water quality. Participants will be notified in the case of cancellation.
As previously planned, the Tenkara style will be held from 1-4 P.M. on the Ridley Brook.
The traditional style will now also be held on the Ridley Brook, instead of the Winooski River, from 5- 7 P.M . Both classes have very limited space available and require registration: Janet.Bisbee@gmail.com or (651) 788-2868. Participants are asked to provide their own equipment, if possible.
* A State of Vermont Fishing License is required for anyone 15 years of age or older.* There is a three-day resident license available for $11. Purchase a license online: https://www.vtfwdsales.com/ or at Parro's Gun Shop, Route 2, Waterbury. Meet at the Duxbury Land Trust property, located at the junction of River Road at Camel's Hump Road in North Duxbury. Parking available.
