David Brahinsky Talk on Good, Happiness, and Evil

David Brahinsky, Ph.D will present a talk he has titled "The Good, Happiness and Evil in the Western and Eastern Philosophical Tradition" next Wednesday, July 17 at 5:00 pm at Fellowship Hall in the Greensboro United Church of Christ. Dr. Brahinsky will discuss the various views that have emerged over centuries in the West and East as to what it means to find goodness and happiness, and the roots and meaning of evil. He will highlight ancient Greek philosophers, Neo-Platonists, Epicurians and Stoics, Medieval philosophers such as Maimonides and Avicenna, modern philosophers such as Thomas Hobbes, Baruch Spinoza, and David Humes, as well as Eastern traditions such as Confucianism, Taoism, Hinduism and Buddhism. A Question and Answer session will follow the talk. All our welcome to this exploration of world philosophical values.
