Preparing Local Foods Traditionally at BOTH

Past event

Please join us at the Brookfield Old Town Hall at 6pm on July 18th for Preparing Local Foods Traditionally

Nature's "farmacy" is accessible to all of us, for best health, disease prevention and longevity. Traditionally prepared, locally sourced foods as everyday kitchen staples can be easy, quick and a joy to share with friends and family. Making sauerkraut and homemade vinegars, cooking with lard and tallow, using herbs and medicinal mushrooms for no fuss boosts of minerals and health benefits, the magic of bone broths and meat stocks, and the amazing nutrition that abounds in grass fed meats, these simple foods lend themselves to the foundation of happy living and better health for us and our planet. And with a little practice, the wisdom of our ancestors is accessible to all of us.

The event is free and open to the public. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item for donation to the Randolph Area Food Shelf.

Once again, we are so grateful to the Frankenburg Insurance Agency of Randolph for being our generous lead sponsor for the entire season.

We also thank Bar Harbor Bank, Ben & Jerry's Foundation, Compucount, Eustis Cable, Gillespie Fuels and Propane, Green Mountain Power, Sprague Ranch, and WEC for their renewed events sponsorship donations. We will be announcing other area business sponsors and grantors as we confirm renewed support.
