A double billing of Bard Owl, T. Breeze Verdant and Annie Landenberger, and Jesse Lepkoff will present, "Originals: Tunes for a Balmy Summer Evening." Vermont Blues Society Contest winner and singer songwriter Jesse Lepkoff will present his originals in many styles alternating between songs influenced by bossa nova, early acoustic blues, Gypsy jazz, and flamenco. His songs can have the sophistication of art song or the rollicking earthiness of '30s style blues.
Bard Owl will present a selection of Breeze's originals which speak his consciousness as a social justice and climate advocate, while tapping the core of love and life.
Bard Owl's known for music that's rhythmic, upbeat mixed among jazz, ballads, rocking blues, sweet and slow tunes —new, old, unexpected--in addition to Breeze's originals.
The concert will take place Saturday, July 13, at 7pm (rain date Sunday July 14 at 6:30 pm) at 314 Upper Houghton Rd. Brattleboro. Please note that Upper Houghton Rd is only accessible via Ames Hill Rd. Bring a picnic or a blanker: we will provide chairs. No dogs; a small bonfire will be going.
Suggested donation $15.00. The event will last approximately 2 hours. Parking limited: please carpool if possible. More information contact Jesse Lepkoff at 802 579 5943.
