Please join us for the premiere of the short documentary "The History of Tenryumura: Embracing truth, memory, and reconciliation" on Saturday July 13th at 4pm in Dana Auditorium.
This short film tells the story of a rural village in Nagano Prefecture, Japan – and its reckoning with a tragic World War II history. The event will include a discussion with Tenryumura community members, the filmmakers, and undergraduate and graduate students who supported the making and translation of the film. A reception will follow.
The documentary is 22 minutes long and is in Japanese with English subtitles.
This screening is free and open to the public.
