Death, Dying and Danishes
Saturday 7/13
Who is interested in or curious about the topic of dying and death?
We at the VNA are.
Scared to talk about it? We're not. Think it's morbid? We don't.
The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region (VNAHSR) (formerly called Franklin County Home Health Agency) is offering another DEATH, DYING AND DANISHES (DDD), designed to address a topic many have difficulty talking about.
The next DDD will be held on Saturday, July 13 from 10 -11:30 am at the Bent Northrop Memorial Library in Fairfield. 164 Park Street, Fairfield, Vermont
REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED.
Hosted by hospice a volunteer and/or a hospice social worker, the objective of DDD is simply to have open conversation about this most inevitable life event. We wish to increase community awareness of our own mortality. Contemplating this important topic is extremely life-affirming and encourages us live our lives more consciously and fully.
There is no religious or philosophical agenda or teaching, nor is this a grief support group.. People of all ages are encouraged to come and bring their curiosities, experiences, and thoughts to the gathering.
Trickle in and leave when you wish. You won't be late if you show up after 10. This is very low key and comfortable and actually quite fun.
We plan to hold one every 6 weeks or so in different locations. We had a great time at the last one (at Tatro's) and actually laughed a lot!
