Greetings So. Burlington Neighbors,
The Champlain Valley Lions are starting their new Lions Year, 7/1/24 to 6/30/25. By our 1st Birthday, we have close to 40 members, including 5 new UVM Medical School Students and a recently retired School Nurse!
Our group is keen on helping our community, including events to help the food insecure, scheduling visions testing in our local schools for this fall, and most recently accumulating 1000 pounds of plastic to be recycled, instead of adding to the waste in our landfills.
Additional projects; we have gifted diapers, resourced used eyeglasses & hearing aids, gifted new eyeglasses, collected pull tabs for the Shriners Hospital. The list goes on of worthy causes.
Please know you are invited to hear more at our monthly Champlain Valley Lions Meetings, 2nd Monday of each month. If you have the time to offer some help, enjoy meeting like minded neighbors, we hope you will join our fun group.
