The trio Bramblewood will hit the stage at The Music Box in Craftsbury on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 PM.
Bramblewood is Carol Hausner, Danny Coane and Colin McCaffrey - Acoustic bluegrass, folk and country music, old and new, along with award-winning originals. Hailing from Central Vermont, BRAMBLEWOOD is a dynamic trio playing acoustic bluegrass, folk and country music, both old and new, along with award-winning originals. Comprised of three of Vermont’s seasoned and critically acclaimed Americana roots musicians, they blend strong heartfelt singing, close-knit harmonies and outstanding musicianship on a variety of instruments.
Carol Hausner’s pure, heartfelt singing, compelling harmonies and expressive, award winning songwriting have taken Carol to growing audiences at shows, festivals and community gatherings. She has been playing guitar and singing traditional, contemporary and original bluegrass, country, and folk music with various bands in the Mid-Atlantic States and New England. In 2009 she won First Place at the legendary MerleFest Chris Austin Songwriting Contest in Wilkesboro, NC, with co-writer Colin McCaffrey, in the Bluegrass Category for "Love Gone By."
Danny Coane, the rockin' pride of Vermont, just keeps rollin'. Best known in Vermont for his work with the Starline Rhythm Boys,he has fronted bluegrass, country and blues bands, but the rockabilly, rock 'n roll act "The Throbulators" gained him national exposure. Danny led the "Throbs" across the country and across the border. When you talk about "the real deal", you're talking about cats like Danny. He writes and sings with relentless enthusiasm, and picks a banjo and guitar with equal ability.
Colin McCaffrey is one of Vermont’s best known musicians and producers. His name is found on many an album. He is a member of the well-known Vermont bands The Stone Cold Roosters, The Goat Broke Loose and Blue Norther as well as a frequent sideman for The Missing Cats, Dr Burma, The Sevens, The Clayfoot Strutters, and many singer-songwriters like Patti Casey, Susannah Blachly, Lewis Franco, Justin Levinson, Myra Flynn and more. He was born in Brattleboro and went to the Berklee College of Music, and now lives in East Montpelier. Colin's guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and bass playing as well as his song-writing and studio skills have made him one of the most influential figures in the Vermont music scene.
