The Norcross Quarry on the Brownsville Trail is the most visible and easily accessible of the mountain's four quarries, but what is known about it? Who was Norcross? What is the green granite that came out of the quarry? When was it active? How did it operate? There is a one mile, moderate hike to the site, where we will take a deep dive into the history, workings and folklore of the quarry. Some bushwhacking and rock scrambling optional. Free
