Weather permitting, join the Mt Ascutney State Park Interpreter at the mountaintop observation tower for sunset viewing. There is a moderate 0.7 mile hike from the parking lot to the tower, with a return in the dark.
The mountain road closes for uphill traffic at 8:00pm, so be sure to head up before then. Meet at the top parking lot at 8:00. A flashlight and/or headlamp is required. Warm clothes are recommended. All participants and cars must leave the summit at the same time, as there is no overnight camping or parking allowed. Free
