Workshop: Protecting Forests from Invasive Pests at a Regional Level!
Come learn how the Regional Invasive Insect Preparedness Team (RIIPT) protected forests in Lamoille and Franklin Counties. By working collaboratively, volunteers inventoried ash trees, educated residents, and made plans for the emerald ash borer in their five towns and had fun doing it! This engaging model can be applied to other pests threatening our forests.
After the presentation join us for an optional potluck lunch and learn about the Forest Pest First Detector program. Then, visit the Johnson Community Arboretum and learn about their treated ash trees.
