Johnson's Tuesday Night Live kicks off a new season of free, family-friendly concerts on July 9, 2024 from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. PURPLE, a Prince Tribute Band steps onto the Tuesday Night Live Outdoor Stage at the Legion Field on School Street with an all-star cast of musicians. The funky, good time dance party is led by Craig Mitchell, who navigates through Prince's vast catalogue of music.
Tuesday Night Live is free thanks to the support of local businesses. Just bring a blanket or chair. A variety of vendors with food, including the Historical Society with slices of homemade pie, will be on site. Parking is
along School Street, in the Elementary School lot, and at the McClelland Building parking lot on College Hill. Rain or shine. Summer showers may dampen the enthusiasm for a few minutes; but it is lightning and thunder that stops the music.
Subsequent Tuesday Night Live performances include: July 16th Dipped in Moonlight, July 23rd The Steppes, and July 30th Beg, Steal or Borrow. The August schedule is August 6th TEKE::TEKE, August 13th Rik Palieri & George Mann, August 20th The Shady Trees, and August 27th Soul Project NOLA.
