(A SIDEWALK CHALK ART FESTIVAL)
IN DOWNTOWN MONTPELIER

Last year, on July 10th, Montpelier experienced severe flooding, most visibly on our downtown streets. This year, to recognize the determination and resilience of the community, on the one-year anniversary of the flood the streets will be flooded with art designed by the community and YOU are invited to participate!
HERE'S HOW:
• Think about what you'd like to draw on the sidewalk Please keep it family-friendly.
• On July 10, come to the tent at Christ Church (64 State St) to register, get your sidewalk square assignment, and pick up your chalk You can also bring your own non-toxic and water-soluble chalk.
• CREATE ART!
• Walk around and look at all the art! At 8 locations downtown, professional artists will create chalk drawings
alongside the art of community members.
• Stop in at local shops and show them your support!
AFTER YOU FINISH DRAWING:
• From noon - 7 pm there will be live music. The Bent Nails House Band will play from 12-1 at Christ Church, street musicians will play from 1-5, and a live music show will happen from 5-7 pm at Christ Church on State St.
