Wednesday July 3rd as part of Peacham's Independence Day Celebration

FOOTWORKS will provide the live music for this family friendly contra dance in the Peacham.

FOOTWORKS is inspired by the high-energy Celtic music of Cape Breton, Footworks features a dynamic blend of powerful rhythms and red-hot fiddling. Seven Stars Arts describes Footworks as a band with "Fabulous, engaging energy," whose impeccable timing and deep connectedness as a group make it impossible for audiences to keep still. Footworks' haunting songs, rollicking fiddle, lovely Irish whistle, and driving guitar accompaniment make for a delightful and unforgettable experience.

Luke Donforth will be calling the dance.
Luke loves sharing the joy of traditional dancing and has been doing so all over North America by writing dances and calling for over a dozen years. Luke brings a warm and welcoming presence to any stage. He draws from classic and new compositions to match the occasion from family dances to advanced weekends. His non-calling jobs include working at science museums, teaching physics at college, and writing a board book about contra.
