More Vermonters fought in the Battle of Cedar Creek than any other Civil War battle and in Montpelier at the state capital building there is the Cedar Creek room. The question is: Why? The presenter, who has given tours for the past two years on the actual battleground, will share the facts leading up to the battle, the bold and daring plan of Jubal Early, the early morning battle, and what happens in the afternoon, including the Vermont 8th, the controversy, Sheridan's ride, and after the battle.
