Summer Nature Series: The Wonderful World of Wetlands

Past event
Jul 20, 2024, 9 to 11 AM

Join South Hero Land Trust's intern Naomi Cocker to explore the extensive Roy Marsh and learn just how important and cool wetlands truly are! Not only do they provide habitat for many species of amphibians and birds, they also filter water, sequester carbon, and mitigate flood risk.

Naomi loves wetlands because of their biodiversity and accessibility, and while perhaps not as exotic as a mountain peak or tropical jungle, wetlands are just as rich from a biological perspective, and there is usually one just around the corner!
