I want to share the following invitation on behalf of Vermont State Parks and the Vermont Arts Council.

The seasonal "Words in the Woods" program is coming right here to Molly Stark State Park! This series allows Vermonters and visitors to enjoy our state's natural beauty while listening to and reading literature in the outdoors.

Verandah Porche works as a poet-in-residence, performer, and writing partner. Based in rural Vermont on the notable commune Total Loss Farm, since 1968, she has published Sudden Eden (Verdant Books), The Body's Symmetry (Harper and Row) and Glancing Off (See Through Books). She has read her work on NPR stations, in the Vermont State House, and at the John Simon Guggenheim Museum. Verandah creates poems for moments and milestones. Commissions include the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, Windham and Windsor Housing Trust, and many poems for personal Celebrations. See additional poems here.

Registration
Entrance to the park will be covered by Vermont Humanities. Advance registration is *not* required (even though the website below says that it is). Families camping at or otherwise visiting the parks will be able to join the presentations without advance registration.
