Does your child want to participate in the beloved Brattleboro tradition of the NEYT Holiday Musical? Here is their chance!
Charles Dickens' story of Oliver Twist - orphaned, and set upon by evil and adversity from his first breath - shocked readers when it was published. After running away from the workhouse and the pompous beadle Mr. Bumble, Oliver finds himself lured into a den of thieves full of vivid and memorable folks - crafty Artful Dodger, vicious Bill Sykes, heart-of-gold Nancy - all watched over by cunning master-thief Fagin. Combining elements of gothic romance, melodrama, and suspense, Dickens created an entirely new kind of fiction, scathing in its indictment of a cruel society, and pervaded by an unforgettable sense of threat and mystery.
The venerated stage adaptation of Oliver, with a book and score by Lionel Bart, is a musical theatre masterpiece that highlights the talents of a large ensemble cast and thrills audiences with beloved characters and music.
It is free to audition! There will be another round of auditions September 13th, 4 - 5:30 & September 14th, 1 - 2:30pm. Children are welcome to attend as many audition dates as they'd like.
