TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Monday, July 1, through Tuesday, July 2, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Wednesday, July 3, between the hours of 6 a.m. and noon, motorists can expect lane closures with alternating one-way traffic patterns and moderate delays throughout the entire 16-mile project limits on U.S. Route 2 (U.S. 2) from the Plainfield/Marshfield town line to the VT Route 15 (VT 15) and U.S. 2 intersection in West Danville.

In observation of the 4th of July holiday, crews will be out of the project area by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, and return on Monday, July 8 at 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect a gravel road surface when traveling on U.S. 2 from the Marshfield Dam continuing east toward West Danville and near Joe's Pond in Danville. Flaggers and Uniform Traffic Officers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution while traveling through the work zone and plan for moderate delays.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: On U.S. 2, crews will continue paving driveway aprons from Eaton Cemetery Road heading east towards Marshfield Village, and the reclaiming operation from the Marshfield Dam to Danville Hill Road and continuing east. Crews will begin milling the pavement by Joe's Pond in Danville, and installing the centerline rumble strips and permanent line markings near the Maplefields at the Plainfield/Marshfield town line.
