On Saturday, June 29th a mass start bike race called the Guilford Gravel Grinder will take place in the towns of Guilford, Marlboro and Halifax (and a little part of West Brattleboro). The race starts at 9:30am at 3976 Hinesburg Road in Guilford (finish is at the same location). Here is a link to a course map. The registration for the race is capped at 200 riders and we are once again sold out this year. The first riders will arrive at the finish before 12:00pm and the last riders will arrive by 2:00pm. On Friday afternoon, June 28th, a few volunteers will place directional signs that look like this at all road intersections: (Note: Images can not be placed here, the signs in question have an orange arrow and the numbers 545 over an Orange "V". All signs will be removed on Saturday afternoon by a group of volunteers. The signs will be out for about 24 hours. Additionally, on Friday afternoon we will put out a small table topped with self service water jugs at the intersection of Jacksonville Stage Road and Old County Road in Halifax. One final note, if you have dogs that like to chase after bikers, please consider having them inside or otherwise confined during this short window of time.
