The Vermont Gran Fondo, a recreational cycling event, will pass through the following towns during the day on Saturday, June 29th: Bristol, Lincoln, Starksboro, Buels Gore, Fayston, Warren, Roxbury, Braintree, Randolph, Bethel, Rochester, Chittenden, Brandon, Salisbury, Middlebury, Ripton, Hancock, Goshen, Starksboro, New Haven, and Granville.
We do not close any roads for this event. Riders are instructed to obey road rules and traffic signs. We have caution signs and directional signs on the entire course. Motorcycle support and mechanical support will accompany the riders.
In most cases, the riders will be strung out along the course, riding solo or in small groups of 2-6 riders.
Riders will be ascending and descending the Appalachian Gap, Lincoln Gap, Roxbury Gap, Middlebury Gap, Rochester Gap, and Brandon Gap. Please be patient when you come across a rider climbing, as they will be moving at a slower pace.
We have obtained permission from VTrans, DPS, and from your local town.
All course signage should be collected by Sunday evening.
Please share the road and cheer on the riders, many of whom come from a great distance, to experience our beautiful Green Mountains.
Cheers,
Todd Warnock
