COME PARADE WITH US!!!
The League of Women Voters is very excited to celebrate America's Birthday in Montpelier! We invite you to walk with us in the 2024 July 3rd Parade in Montpelier. Bring your friends and family members along for a one-of-a-kind experience!
The Parade begins about 6:00 PM following the Montpelier Mile race. We will meet at the line-up which starts around 5:00 PM on Elm Street.
We have BANNERS, WINDSOCKS on long poles, and SIGNS to carry. Also, SUFFRAGETTE-STYLE HATS and "VOTE" SASHES to wear, as well as COWBELLS to ring! We have 17 neutral-colored broad-brimmed hats for women (or you can make your own). Dress in your suffragist best - white shirt and white/black skirt. Men can wear white shirts and khaki/black pants (a bow tie would be great too). If costumes are not your thing, just wear white and march with us to promote a fair and healthy democracy!
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
