Over the last two centuries there were 4 active quarries on Mt Ascutney. This hike takes us to the largest one, the Tyler Quarry. Records indicate that it was used as early as 1768.
There are three sites at the quarry. Expect some climbing around, some long grass and brush. Easy 1 mile hike to the quarry site on an old road.FREE!
Meet at the parking area across from the State Park's main gate, from which we will drive to the start of the trail. 10am
