Medical Decisions Near the End of Life

What happens if one is unable to make decisions in the hospital? How aggressively must we treat illness near the end of life? When is it ok to turn down burdensome treatment? Is turning down treatment killing? Or merely letting nature take its course? How do we consider the sanctity of all human life, but also our eternal home in heaven when we make medical decisions? As all come at some point to the end of life, how do we approach it well, with particular focus on the modern medical environment?

Join Fr. Greg Caldwell on Wednesday, June 26, at 5:30 PM in the Youth Center to consider these issues. The practical and legal realities, including advanced directives, will be considered as well as moral and spiritual considerations in light of our faith knowing everything we decide is towards The Greater Glory of God, the Salvation of Souls.
