On Saturday July 13th from 2-4pm at Shakedown Street & Stowe Cider

We will be working with pressed & dried flowers and cochineal pigment to dye silk charmeuse pillowcases and eye masks to add to your sleep routine for the sweetest botanical dreams.

No experience required! And kids over 8 are welcome. I provide all the materials you'll need and walk you through the process of imbuing silk with natural dyes.

There are benefits to sleeping on silk too (its not just the favourable fiber for natural dyes). Silk is known to be temperature regulating and gentle on the skin. It's smooth texture prevents wrinkles and damage to your hair while it also helps your skin and hair retain it's moisture. On top of that, you're flower dyeing these silk pieces so you wont be laying to rest on anything synthetic or the harsh chemicals that are known to be in artificial dyes.

And YES these natural dyes will last and last. You just have to be kind to them. I recommend hand washing with neutral ph- or a gentle detergent and hanging to dry.
