Bring a kayak, canoe, or other vessel and join the Windham County Natural Resources Conservation District to remove water chestnut!
Water chestnut is an invasive plant that can cover the surface of our waters and outcompete native species.
We will be monitoring an area on the Connecticut River around Rockingham, VT/ Walpole, NH. No prior experience is required! We will train you how to identify the invasive plant, remove it, and clean your vessel before and after boating. Bring your kayak (with life preserver) and clothes that can get wet.
July is shark month, so feel free to deck out our kayak or clothes with shark gear!
