Calling all fiber artists!

Fiber Fest 2024, Hosted by The Champlain Islands Fiber Bees.

Join us for a day of rug hooking, or whatever your fiber craft is. Saturday Aug 10, 2024, from 9am to 3pm, at the North Hero Community Hall, next to Hero's Welcome Store on Rt 2. (3537 U S Route 2, North Hero, VT 05474 ) Small tents will be set up in front, weather permitting, for artisans to demonstrate rug hooking, spinning and weaving, answer questions of passersby and invite them in to experience the energy of nearly 70 crafters working with a variety of fibers as well as a small rug show.

There will be two vendors: Fluff and Peachy Bean Designs and Judith Hotchkiss Designs and Dyeworks, selling hand dyed wool, yarn, patterns and other tools of the trade.

There will be a red solo cup auction and a silent auction taking place toward the end of the event. Most of the auction items will be related to fiber arts. In order to not be overloaded with items we are accepting donations from the Fiber Bees only, two weeks in advance. We will not have a sale table this year. There will be a bulletin board listing previously owed items for sale. All sales will be conducted outside the Community Center, by the sellers. No ads larger than 3x5.

Rug show items from the Fiber Bees only. Please try to get them to the group by Friday Aug 9th.

Crafters will be treated to morning snacks, coffee, tea and cold water. Bring your own lunch and reusable cup/mug. Cost to participating crafters $20. Please register to reserve a spot @ northherofiberfest@gmail.com.
