"Have you ever felt like nobody was there? Have you ever felt like you could disappear?"
These opening lyrics of "You Will Be Found" from the Tony-Award winning musical "Dear Evan Hansen" capture the feelings of many with substance-use disorder. Jenna's Promise, a recovery community based in Johnson, provides connection and hope through its holistic approach to addiction, which includes sober housing, a community of support, and an innovative work program.
Join us this Saturday, June 29, from 2 to 4 pm at Jenna's House in Johnson for "You Will Be Found," a free concert and film to benefit Jenna's Promise and the Vermont Alliance for Recovery Residences. There will be uplifting songs from Vermont's Freedom & Unity Chorus, inspiring piano music by Melinda White, and the 20-minute documentary "No Easy Mile" about West Bolton resident Phil LaCroix, who completed the Long Trail in 10 days in memory of friends lost to addiction and raised $50,000 for sober housing in Vermont.
