The Mile-Arounds Woods and surrounding fields and trails will be closed from June 17-28. The Fund for North Bennington has physically removed tons (literally) of invasive plants. The re-sprouts will be treated with targeted, low-concentration herbicide. The work will be carefully done according to standards recommended by the Nature Conservancy. Equipment will be moving about the property during this period. There will be signs and barriers at the entrances prohibiting entry from June 17-28 (weather dependent). Do not enter the area during this time! No exceptions. The Fund for North Bennington is sorry for the inconvenience, but this brief closure is a necessary part of plans to strengthen the health of the woods and meadows.
