My grandmother Marie gave away thousands of homemade buttermilk donuts in her lifetime.
Pretty much every time I saw her, there'd be a dozen tucked into my bag.
So as a tribute to her I'm paying it forward this Saturday and making 80 of her donuts to give away at our new farmstand.
We're opening the self-serve farmstand on Route 2 on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Address: 1675 U.S. Route 2 (right before the flea market)
Time: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. I will be there from 9 to 11 with donuts while they last!
What: lavender bunches ($10), maple lemonade ($5), maple syrup, and free tomato/cukes/ground cherry plants.
Cash, Venmo, PayPal.
The stand will be open just on weekends to start.
I'll have mixed flower bouquets after the lavender season ends. Occasional overflow veggies from our garden. And free donuts when I feel the calling!
Hope to see some of you on Saturday! Follow us on Instagram for updates: https://www.instagram.com/forwardalwaysfarmstead/
