This Saturday at the Capponcellis, 142 Reed Rd. Athens, we will be holding a fundraiser to help support our new Community Center.
Last year we held a Chili Cook-off, a Halloween party, a kids Christmas Shop, followed this year by an Easter Egg Hunt, all supported through donations.
There will be a raffle, tickets are $1 ea or 6 for $5, 1st prize is a garden 'hod' or basket, made by Don Capponcelli. It includes some clay pots, 2 hand tools, a garden apron, and some seeds, 2nd prize are supplies for a weekend pancake breakfast, including pancake mix, bowl, spatula, whisk, pot holder and a quart of the Capponcellis redneck boiler maple syrup. 3rd prize is summer oriented and has yet to arrive, so we all will be surprised. There will be a limited number of houseplants and pre dug perennials plus perennials available straight from the gardens. There are a limited number of birdhouses available also made by Don and a limited number of garden aprons sewn by Sandi. We will also have some refreshments available. The latter items are by donation. There will also be some free used pots and window boxes and a basket with seed envelopes for you seed savers and plant markers.
