Hi FPF friends!
I'm posting this event to let folks know about an upcoming event for story sharing and community connection regarding the 2023 floods. I'm part of a research team based at Dartmouth College and Colorado School of Mines working on a project about the social, ecological, and technical challenges of last year's floods.
We are hosting a community meeting where folks can connect or reconnect, where we can hear some of your stories and memories of responding to folks needs during and after the flood, and where we can share about what we're trying to do with our research.
The first meeting will be in Ludlow, at the Ludlow Community Center on Friday June 28, 4-7pm. We will facilitate two activities designed to better understand the impacts and challenges the flood(s) have created, and look forward to your stories and insight! We are also hoping to collect photos and videos of flooded areas by consent of property owners. Our goal is to make this collaborative, supportive, and engaging for everyone. Space is limited, please register if you can here: https://forms.gle/LeLL7XsC9xampx1j7
If you can't make it but want to talk about sharing stories about the flood please fill out that same form and let us know that! We'll be in touch either way. You can see more information about the project and get our email addresses at this link, or here: https://sites.dartmouth.edu/mappingforresilience/.
