THE CENTRAL VERMONT AMATEUR RADIO CLUB will join radio operators from all over North America in the American Radio Relay League Field Day on June 22nd to 23rd. The event is being held at the Braintree Hill Meetinghouse, 2756 Braintree Hill Road, Braintree, VT, 05060. The event starts 2 p.m. Saturday and runs to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Similar Field Days are being held nation-wide to train ham radio operators to communicate when disaster renders conventional communications inoperable. It is also a chance to see Ham radio in action. Amateur ("ham") radio enthusiasts, those who are curious about ham radio, and members of the public are invited to join us as we raise antennas, set up equipment, and make radio contacts throughout the U.S. and elsewhere. Please come pay us a visit at the Meetinghouse.
From Rt12, turn onto Peth road. Then follow it along past Brainstorm Rd and take a left onto Hockman Hill Rd. Follow Hockman until it forks into Braintree Hill Rd. The Meetinghouse is on the left at the fork down Hockman.
