If you did not get the opportunity to swing by the Lincoln Historical Society Museum on June 9th, be sure to stop by this coming Sunday to see our two brand new exhibits.
Artifacts on display will help you imagine what it may have been like to live here in the days gone by. The Lincoln 3rd and 4th-grade students did some imagining of their own this spring. After reading bios of historical Lincoln figures and viewing period artifacts, they wrote short pieces of historical fiction. Their stories are on display at the museum alongside the artifacts, clothing, biographies, and photographs. The kids' spin on the past is sure to put a smile on your face!
So.... this Sunday, make it a day. Go for a swim in the New Haven and grab a cool treat from the general store. Then mosey over to the museum to learn more about this place and the people who shaped its past and to celebrate the imaginations of those who will shape its future.
Admission is free, though donations are greatly appreciated. See you there!
