Are you interested in learning more about how to improve pollinator habitat in your home garden or community space? Would you like to meet like minded neighbors to work together, learn and do more together? Can we create a multi-town pollinator pathway in eastern Chittenden County? Join us and the Jericho Conservation Commission on Monday June 24th at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library in Jericho from 7:00pm for a presentation from two of the co-founders of Pollinator Pathway of Addison County. Bethany Barry and Fran Putnam will share how they began their journey to creating a vibrant and active community group in Addison County to to learn, together and create and maintain places for pollinators -butterflies, bees and other insects - in their community and how we can follow their model here in Jericho and surrounding towns.
Let's help do what we can together to stem the steep decline in pollinator populations, get to know each other, and learn together as a community. Home gardeners interested in gardening with purpose, regional conservation commission members, and anyone with an interest in learning about and creating pollinator habitat are welcome to attend. To join the meeting via Zoom, please email program_assistant@drml.org for the link.
All in person particpants will have a chance to win a free native perennial flower donated by Bird and Bee Native Plants.
