Come to this family-oriented celebration of the newest state and federal holiday – Juneteenth!
From 3pm to 8pm on Wednesday, June 19th, at the Community Center (1210 Main St).
Featuring a Bouncy House from Bounce Around VT; free ice cream from Ben & Jerry's (from 3pm to 7:30pm, 1 scoop per person); a free meal from The Mediterranean Mix to the first 100 attendees, and Juneteenth oriented trivia and contests (and prizes!)
Educational displays, speakers addressing the Juneteenth holiday, including our own Senator Irene Wrenner and Governor Jim Douglas. Announcement of the winners of the BFA Student Contest: What Juneteenth Means to Me. Around 5:30pm (or 6pm) we will have the renowned Congolese Choir.
Come for the ice cream. Stay for the educational displays, speakers and the Congolese Choir.
