Re-Imagine Johnson Community Flood Recovery Forum

Jul 22, 2024, 4:30 to 9 PM

Good Evening Johnson,

I'm writing as a private citizen. With all of the questions, concerns, ideas, and opportunities being discussed here, at local businesses, during breakfast, lunch, dinners, on walks, on the Rail Trail, this series of conversations will be the perfect opportunity to be heard, listen, strategize, collaborate, problem solve, and make new connections as we are all working toward creating a new vibrant, thriving Johnson!!! I look forward to seeing you there!!!

You're Invited!
Re-Imagine Johnson: Community Flood Recovery Forums and Conversation
DATE: Monday July 22nd, 2024
TIME: 4:30- 9:00 pm
LOCATION: Johnson Elementary School, 57 College Hill Rd

Re-Imagine Johnson is a 3-part process to engage everyone in town in brainstorming ideas and identifying important priorities for the future.

Come together for a community gathering to connect with fellow residents including those displaced from the July 2023 flooding: to listen, share, and form thoughts about next steps and ideas for the future of Johnson! Join us for a full community discussion followed by food, topic forums, and connection with neighbors.

The goal of these forums is to bring together the full diversity of Johnson residents, organizations, business owners and partners in an open, inclusive dialogue to build connections, develop a self assessment of resiliency and identify actions for recovery and future efforts. This three part process will identify actions and resources and begin efforts for the immediate and long-term future of the town and village.
The first event on July 22nd will begin with an interactive process that invites participants to identify community status in terms of basic needs & services; physical infrastructure; environment & natural systems; community connections & capacity. Then we will break for a community dinner followed by deeper forum discussions on these topics.

4:30 - 6:00 pm Community Resilience Self Assessment and Conversation
6:00 - 7:00 pm FREE Dinner with Live Music and an open mic!
