French Heritage Day is just a few weeks away on June 30th from 10am-2pm at the Winooski Farmers Market!
Join us for a great time including:
- All the farmers market vendors you know and love, plus...
- A few special guest vendors joining in with French products
- Live music all day long! The Champlain Shoregasm from 10-12 and Deja Nous from 12-2
- En Plein Air painting activity
- Lawn games including Petanque
- Local history and genealogy resources
- French language speaking circle
- Annual Tourtiere contest, now with a French Bread category too
- The Winooski Historical Society and Heritage Winooski Mill Museums will be open right next door
Interested in entering the baking contest? Please drop off your entry at the Judge's tent between 11:30-11:55am on the day of the festival. Entries will not be accepted before 11:30am. Judging will begin at 12pm!
There are NO restrictions on ingredients or size, NO cost to enter, and NO pre-registration. Entries should be homemade and freshly baked and brought in a food-safe container! There are cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in both categories!
As always during the market, there's free parking in the garage and on the street downtown. Be sure to shop local at the market every Sunday from 10-2!
