Sterling College will be hosting Community Dinner again this Friday, in Dunbar Dining Hall. It was wonderful to see everybody back last week. As always, this meal is free and welcome to anyone in the greater Craftsbury area.
This week's menu, brought to you by our amazing farm interns Sarah and David, will be:
Beef Bo Ssam Bar!
For those unfamiliar with Bo Ssam, it is a choose-your-own-adventure Korean spread traditionally prepared with pork, but we will be doing it with beef from Gwyneth and Neil Harris of NewGrass Farmstead in Wolcott, VT. The beef is served in lettuce cups, with most of the greenery coming from the Sterling College Garden, a cucumber salad, lime and red chili rice, braised sweet potatoes and peas, and any fixing under the sun you can imagine. Dessert is a surprise, but it involves ice cream!
As always, all diets will be accommodated, and we will have our array of donation options available for those who feel compelled - but simply bringing yourself and family is our preferred form of charity. Monetary donations directly support the Facilities Fund in honor of Kelly Jones, and go towards repairs, updates and maintenance of our student dorms. Household items, clothing and books are also very much welcome - the CDs have been great - you all have very interesting taste in music.
Dinner starts at 4:30pm - we hope to see you there!
