The Varnum Memorial Library is proud to host Jon Gailmor for a special one-time musical event!
Join this Vermont legend as he leads us through the process of collectively writing an original song and stay for Jon's performance. If you've never seen Jon Gailmor before, this is something you don't want to miss.
Jon invites all, aged prenatal to prehistoric to this event.
"Jon Gailmor was born in New York State and failed to grow up in Philadelphia. He was honored as an "Extraordinary Vermonter" by our governor, received the Mayor's Peace Prize in Burlington, awarded a Silver Citation by the Vermont Arts Council, received the Ellen McCulloch Lovell award for Arts in Education and carried the Olympic Torch through Brattleboro in 1996. Jon presents songwriting workshops, curriculum-based or open-ended, in schools nationwide. He has sung in concert halls in Ecuador, a Peruvian tennis stadium, cafes in France, Italy and Greece and, among other spots, Elmore, Vermont, where he proudly lives." - Children's Literacy Foundation
The Varnum Memorial Library gratefully acknowledges the Winnie Bell Learned Foundation for sponsoring this event.
