COME VISIT - The Dummerston Historical Society will be open from 1 pm to 3 pm this Sunday, June 16th. You are invited to come in to browse, research, chat, or simply say hello! This being Father's Day, perhaps you have visitors interested in genealogy. Board members will be available to help answer any questions you might have.
This is the last opportunity to view Rodrica Tilley's plein air art on display.
WHERE IS THIS HOUSE? We have a number of photographs of home and locations which we believe are in Dummerston and we need help identifying; photographs will be in display for your helpful input. DO YOU HAVE A DUMMERSTON PHOTOGRAPH TO SHARE? If you have photographs of a building, location or people that are about Dummerston, we would love it if you would share it. Simply bring them into the Schoolhouse this Sunday and we will make a scan of it and enter it into our own digital collection of images of Dummerston. You keep the original and we'll email you the scan.
Also on display are the original documents of a warning and town meeting regarding President Lincoln's 1863 request for more volunteers
for the Civil War army. Each town in Vermont was required by law to meet their quota of volunteers.
