Bridge somatic movement and the physical and energetic bodies in this integrative experience with local Clinical Herbalist, herb farmer, and yoga teacher (YTT-200), Sarah Shaw. This 90-minute session practice will weave together yoga with a selection of herbs to rejuvenate the nervous system, calm the mind, and enliven the spirit. The experience will include breathwork and meditation, yoga sequences, and herbal therapeutics featuring a selection of locally abundant plants.
Participants can expect to learn about and experience various herbs via aromatherapy, tea, and topical oils that can be combined with a holistic yoga practice for a unique embodied experience. No prior yoga or herbal knowledge necessary – this will be a restorative movement and educational experience that engages all of the senses. Please bring a yoga mat or towel and any other props desired (a small amount of yoga blocks will be available).
This class is offered on a sliding scale donation basis, $5-$15.
