Vermont Reads Wonder at Bixby Library

Past event
Nov 1, 2014, 10:30 AM to 12 PM

You may have heard that the Bixby Library has seventy copies of R.J. Palacio’s Wonder thanks to the Vermont Humanities Council. As part of the Vermont Reads program, we are trying to encourage as many people to read this remarkable book before the beginning of December. If you are interested, come to borrow one at the library. Anyone with a library card can borrow a book, and library cards are free if you live in Addison, Ferrisburgh, Panton, Vergennes, or Waltham. If you read or have already read Wonder, the library would also like to invite you to discuss the book. Please be sure to sign up to express your interest. A parent, grandparent, and guardian discussion scheduled for October 24 at 6pm has been merged with one on November 1 at 10:30am. Discussions are also scheduled for November 7 at 6pm, and November 15 at 10:30am. Everyone who participates in one of our Wonder programs will receive a free “be wonderful” pin designed by a local artist. Call the library 802-877-2211 or email muir.haman@bixbylibrary.org with questions or to sign up for any of these services.
