Richmond Elementary School's Farm-to-School Program invites you to celebrate local farms and food at the Fifth Annual Community Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 25th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Monitor Barn on Rt. 2 in Richmond. There will be loads of activities including grinding corn and grain, pressing apples, blending bike-powered smoothies, making pizza, crafts and much more. Enjoy a delicious lunch, listen to live music, buy from local producers, and bid on great items in a silent auction. Music provided by Loggerhead (bluegrass) 11-1 and Flies in the Porter (Irish) 1-3. Vendors: VYCC, Jericho Settlers Farm, Maple Wind Farm, Ewetopia, Sunflower Soaps, Slopeside Syrup, Starbird Fish, Midnight Goat Farm, Ariel's Infusions, and Backdoor Bakery. All proceeds will benefit RES Farm to School Program, helping us purchase local food and provide farm, food, and nutrition education in our classrooms, cafeteria, and community. This event, cosponsored by Richmond Farmers Market, is free of charge and open to children of all ages and their families. Questions?
