On Saturday June 22nd at 5pm, Mike Africa Jr. of the social justice organization MOVE will be speaking in Burlington to raise awareness of the 1985 bombing of the MOVE house by Philadelphia police, which killed 13 people. The event will be a fundraiser for the reclamation of the MOVE house, which was rebuilt after once being leveled by Philadelphia police.
The event is hosted by the Richard Kemp Center and supported by members of the Vermont organizations Ubuntu Freedom, Building Fearless Futures, Food Not Bombs, and Wheelock Mountain Farm.
