Growth Forum Nov. 12

Past event

Timing is everything. How fast or slow should Hinesburg grow? Should the pace of development be:
- Determined by market forces and opportunity?
- Controlled by regulations with annual allotments?
- Managed by government-defined capacity limitations?
- Halted entirely by temporary moratoriums?

The water bond vote has sparked some community conversation on this topic, so let's talk about it and explore our options together. The Planning Commission will host a community forum at 7pm on November 12 at the Town Hall. Save the date, and please plan to attend! The timing is excellent, as the Planning Commission is in the process of revising the Hinesburg Town Plan over the next several months. The Town Plan is the comprehensive vision for the community's future. It provides the ideal context for recommendations on managing growth and development. We got great public feedback with the Town Plan survey, and now we are looking for more community conversation on Hinesburg's direction.
