Jul 6, 2024, 1 to 4 PM

Celebrate Brattleboro's local food cycles at the Rich Earth Palooza–a day of fun & learning about how food is grown, composted, and recycled! Join us for art, music, and exhibits from organizations working on creative approaches to sustainable and just food systems. Come discover how you can get involved in the local food cycle and help enrich the Earth!

Festivities will include:

🤝 Connect with local organizations at exhibits and activity stations, including Grateful Greens microgreens, Food Cycle Coalition, Town of Brattleboro Sustainability, Brooks Memorial Library's Library of Things, Foodworks, Edible Brattleboro, Windham Solid Waste Management District, Ben's Bins Vermicomposting, and Toilets for People.

☀️ A celebration of Rich Earth Institute's community-scale peecycling program, which reclaims human urine as a resource to support local farms and protect the Connecticut River watershed from pollution. Don't miss the "Piss-Off Hall of Fame" announcements, honoring the community's top urine donors

🌱 At 2 PM, join the "Urine My Garden" workshop with Julia Cavicchi, Rich Earth's Education Director, to learn the basics of home-scale peecycling, reclaiming the nutrients from our bodies to grow abundant gardens.

🎵 At 3 PM, enjoy songs about life and farming by Jay Bailey of Fair Winds Farm.

🚲 Cycle your way to a fresh smoothie with the Bellows Falls Community Bike Project's smoothie station.

🍛 Visit Dosa Kitchen adjacent to the palooza for delicious South Indian soul food.
