(Extra special note!! Last weekend, my skating club, the Champlain Valley Skating Club, hosted the USFS New England Regionals at Leddy Arena. Brooke Barrett, a South Burlingtonian, placed first in her division which included over eighty skaters! She now advances to Sectionals in Wake Forest, North Carolina... a competition covering the entire East coast. The best of luck to this very talented and very motivated young figure skater!!)
