We're back! Community Dinners on Friday Night at Sterling College are continuing this week and throughout the summer. The meal is free and open to anyone in the greater Craftsbury area. This summer's round of Community Dinners will be organized and prepared by the Sterling Kitchen and our farm intern, Sarah Kennedy, as a part of their Independent Project.
This week we will be serving Moroccan spiced lamb, with lamb raised on the Sterling Farm. Accompanying the lamb will be creamed mustard greens with greens from the Sterling Garden and milk from Sweet Rowen Farmstead. Mashed potatoes and gravy will supply the carb coma everyone desires.
Dinner starts at 4:30pm and is located in Dunbar Dining Hall. In the foyer we will have eggs from the farm for sale at $5/dozen, and raffle tickets for the Craftsbury Academy class trip fundraiser. Our Donation Shark will make its return to gobble up all of your much appreciated charity; monetary donations will go to the Sterling Facilities Fund, and this giving is used to directly improve on-campus dorms for the students. As always, household items, books, and clothing are welcome - we love mugs.
All diets, even the picky ones, will be accommodated - we hope to see you there!
