Dear baseball friends,
Hundreds of Burlington youth and their families call the ballfield at Roosevelt Park (aka"Rosy"), home and central hub of their baseball community. Rosy is home to Center City Little League, which yearly supports hundreds of kids in youth baseball programs from all over the city from preschool to middle school age. For many of these families, baseball is the central focus of their local community and the backdrop upon which important life lessons are learned and lifelong memories are formed.
The Burlington City Department of Parks and Recreation has Undertaken a Comprehensive Plan for redevelopment of Roosevelt Park.

One of the proposed plans includes elimination of the ballfield at Rosy.
Without a ballfield at Roosevelt Park, there is no baseball at Rosy. With no baseball at Rosy, there is no Center City Little League. Without Center City Little League, we lose a vital hub of our community that brings families together from all over the city. Without baseball at Rosy, we lose a vital aspect of a shared history and culture that spans generations and transcends the petty things that tend to divide us from each other.
We cannot allow this to happen.

SAVE BASEBALL AT ROSY
Parks and Rec is be holding an open house meeting TONIGHT to get public input on their proposals.
Join us and let them know that baseball needs a permanent home at Rosy.
